THE NROTC PURPLE HEART FUND

According to the latest U.S. Department of Defense figures, at this writing, there have been 28,838 wounded. Many have sustained permanent debilitating injury.

Part 3 of NROTC's Mission Statement reads: Based on our ability to do so, we work to contribute to the relief of distressed military service members, military service veterans especially the severely wounded, their immediate families, and the immediate family members of military personnel who have died.

When determining which troopers and their families we decide to help, we typically select amputees, burn victims or those who have suffered serious brain trauma.
