We pray that all of our active duty troops will return home safely to their families and friends at the end of their patriotic tours of duty. |

NROTC's Mission:
Our government does NOT provide Service Banners to military families and we at NROTC believe that it is a great gesture of support
every time we send one of these out. By the way, each Service Banner is sent along with a certificate that claims,
Five years ago when NROTC was founded, our goal was to send a Service Banner to every military family. This goal has not changed!...
While we have since expanded on the areas of our charitable activity, we HAVE NOT lost sight of our original goal, and our Service
Banner Program efforts continue today.
To date, NROTC has provided nearly 1,000 free Service Banners to deserving loved ones of our armed forces personnel. Agreed this is
not a great accomplishment by many standards, but it is a big accomplishment for a small but growing organization such as ours. We
could accomplish much more with more funding.
The Department of Defense states that there are over 1,300,000 military service members on active duty today. DoD also states that,
as is planned, 200,000 more military troops will rotate into the battle each year, to replace
the military troops who rotate out. This means that over the next five years, the number of troops committed will easily exceed 2
million.
It costs NROTC roughly ten dollars to purchase and mail out a Service Banner with a certificate. Ten dollars times two million equals
twenty million dollars. Quite a dawnting task!... OUR SERVICE BANNER PROGRAM IS NROTC's MOST AMBITIOUS PROGRAM!.
One really great thing we could do if we had the funding, would be to provide a Gold Star Service Banner to every military family who has
suffered the loss of a loved-one! From September 11th, 2001 to date, America has lost 4,390 brave troops. What a meaningful thing
we could do to HONOR ALL those who have been lost and their surviving loved-ones who have sacrificed so much!
A NOTE TO ANY POTENTIAL MAJOR DONOR: The cover letter we send to each Service Banner recipient, as well as the enclosed "Blue
Star Service Certificate", could easily mention something similar to, "This Service Banner gift is made possible with the kind
financial support of (Your Company/Foundation)."
