June 2007 – NROTC PRESENTS GOLD STAR SERVICE BANNER TO THE FAMILY OF:
U.S. Army Sergeant Dustin Perrott
Age 23 from Fredericksburg, Virginia
Lost June 21, 2007 in Miri, Afghanistan, due to wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. A Gold Star Service Banner was presented to the family at graveside by NROTC. Sergeant Perrott served with the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Cambat Team, 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, NC.

June 2007 – NROTC SENDS GOLD STAR SERVICE BANNER TO THE FAMILY OF:
U.S. Army Private 1st Class Matthew E. Baylis
Age 20 from Oakdale, New York
Lost Thursday, May 31, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered on May 30 when his dismounted patrol encountered enemy small arms fire. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

May 2007 – NROTC PRESENTED GOLD STAR SERVICE BANNER TO THE FAMILY OF:
U.S. Army Specialist Casey W. Nash
Age 22 from Baltimore, Maryland
Lost May 18th, 2007 in Tahrir, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using an improvised explosive device. A Gold Star Service Banner was presented to the family at graveside by Tom Ruley, NROTC President. Specialist Casey W. Nash served with the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division based at Fort Hood, Texas.

December 13, 2006 – NROTC PRESIDENT TOM RULEY INVITED TO THE PENTAGON

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld thanks military support group leaders for their service.
A group representing more than 80 “America Supports You” grassroots military support organizations was invited to the Pentagon for the America Supports You Annual Summit. NROTC’s Founder and President Tom Ruley, was in attendance. There was an opportunity for the various group leaders to get to know each other and share ideas. A presentation was given from the Pentagon point of view regarding The Global War On Terrorism. The highlight of the day was when Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld addressed the group and thanked the various military support group leaders for their service.

December 2006 – NROTC SENDS GOLD STAR SERVICE BANNER TO THE FAMILY OF:
U.S. Army Sergeant Jason C. Denfrund
Age 24 from Cattaraugus, New York
Lost Monday, December 25, 2006 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit while on patrol. Sergeant Denfrund was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York.
