FACEBOOK Is A Powerful Recruiting Tool If You Know How To Use It!
No matter how you slice it, FACEBOOK is still the largest social network out there. With over 1.3 Billion registered users, it has twice as many people as its closest competitor.
If you have a personal FACEBOOK account it does not really matter. We do not recommend that you use your personal FACEBOOK page for NROTC recruiting. Unlike LinkedIn, reaching-out to “FRIEND” people you don’t know is most probably not a good idea on FACEBOOK.
You do have an alternative. Create your NROTC Division “Company Page”.
HINT: When you arrive at this page look below the “Sign Up” button and click “Create a Page for a celebrity, band or business”.
Right-Click NROTC’s Official Seal to the right-above and save it to your computer with a right-click for uploading to FACEBOOK.
When adding “Company Name” enter “(Your Division Name) – NROTC”.
Once your “Company” page is created, if you already have a “Personal” page, now when you login to FACEBOOK, you will have the option of viewing and posting as “You Personally” or “Your Company Page”.
Hint: You can view your profile page in either “edit/post” or “View As A Page Visitor” mode. To view as a page visitor, click the three horizontal dots (…) to the right of your “Messages” box.
Because this is a FACEBOOK “Company” page, You and people who visit this page will not have the option of “Friending” here.
After you create your company page now you will want to create postings. As people see your postings, they will be able to go directly to NROTC’s Employment Information Page or to Your Division Page and “Like” it. After they do, they’ll start to see your updates, ads and postings in their timelines. As your network grows organically, you can also pay, (Only if you want) to extend your reach to new audiences. Facebook advertising can be a great source of traffic. Paid Facebook pages rank higher than unpaid ones. It’s not terribly expensive. Investigate the “Boost Post”, “Promote Page” and “Promote Local Business” options.
Note: NROTC does have the right to exercise some control over the content of your Division Facebook page. We just don’t want you making false claims and such.
Add your new position as Division Manager with NROTC and other pertinent details to your FACEBOOK Division Page.
Take a look at NROTC’s FACEBOOK profile page to get a rough idea. Your FACEBOOK page will be a little different. “LIKE” NROTC on FACEBOOK if you haven’t already. Click Here
Not knowing just how familiar you are with FACEBOOK most of this is easy. If you are unfamiliar, you should be able to get the hang of it easy enough.
Your FACEBOOK Header Image: (Feel free to use this if you want)
Right-Click this image to save it to your computer for uploading to FACEBOOK.
Help people find your content by hashtagging your FACEBOOK posts. The # symbol in front of keywords identifies your posts to people searching for related information. For instance, the use of #jobs, #hiring, #work #SalesJobs #OutsideSales #VeteranJobs #JobPostings #EmploymentOpportunities or whatever you like will attract job seekers and expand the reach of your posts. When hashtagging phrases, always capitalize each word in the phrase.
Hashtag Hint: Because you are looking for people who reside within your division, I recommend that you use more specific hashtags such as #Jobs(YourState) #Jobs(YourCity) #(YourState)SalesJobs #(YourCity)SalesJobs #Employment(YourState) #Employment(YourCity) etc.
Copy and Paste any of my FACEBOOK posts or use your own content or hashtag ideas. Post regularly and often for best results.
My posting images are the same that I use on all social media advertising. They can be found again HERE
Important Note: ROTATE your ads. Place a new ad every day or two.
