Age 24 from Pocomoke City, Maryland

Lost August 18, 2005, in Samarra, Iraq, where an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee following a mine assessing mission. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Geogia.

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Kimberly A. Voelz
Age 27 from Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Lost December 14, 2003, in Iskandariyah, Iraq. Voelz was responding to an explosive ordnance disposal call when an improvised explosive device detonated. Voelz was assigned to the 703rd Explosive Ordnance Detachment based in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

U.S. Marine Sergeant James S. Lee
Age 26 from Mt. Vernon, Indiana

Lost April 6, 2005 in Ghazni, Afghanistan, when the Army CH-47 helicopter he was on crashed. Sergeant Lee was attached to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 773, Marine Aircraft Group 42, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing based in Marietta, Georgia.

U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Patrick Lybert
Age 28 from Ladysmith, Wisconsin

Lost June 6, 2006 as a result of injuries sustained during enemy action in Gowardesh, Afghanistan. He served with 3rd Squad., 71st Calvary, 3rd Brig. Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division based at Fort Drum, New York.

U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Virgil C. Martinez
Age 33 from West Valley, Utah

Lost Sunday, May 06, 2007 in Kadhimiyah, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using an improvised explosive device and small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.

Age 30 from McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania

Lost Monday, September 29, 2003 west of Baghdad, Iraq, while traveling in a convoy when an improvised explosive device detonated as his vehicle passed by. Staff Sergeant Cutchall was assigned to Delta Troop, 4th Cavalry, based at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Age 21 from Maize, Kansas

Lost Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked by insurgents using small arms fire June 21 in Bayji, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

U.S. Army Sergeant Dustin Perrott
Age 23 from Fredericksburg, Virginia

Lost June 21, 2007 in Miri, Afghanistan, due to wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. This death struck close to NROTC. Dustin was the husband of the Niece of NROTC's Vice President, Tom Conlan. Sergeant Perrott served with the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Cambat Team, 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Age 20 from Oakdale, New York

Lost Thursday, May 31, 2007 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered on May 30 when his dismounted patrol encountered enemy small arms fire. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.

Age 20 from Belton, Texas

Lost June 4, 2005 in a vehicle accident near Bartlett, Texas, while home on leave after serving six months in Iraq. Corporal Randall Preusse served with the 386th Engineer Battalion 278th Regimental Combat Team based in Austin, Texas.

U.S. Marine Lance Corporal Michael L. Starr Jr.
Age 21 from Edgemere, Baltimore County, Maryland

Lost January 26th, 2005 in helicopter crash that left 31 dead near Ar Rutbah, Iraq. Lance Corporal Starr Jr. served with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
