INSTAGRAM Is A Powerful Recruiting Tool If You Know How To Use It!
INSTAGRAM has over 400 million registered users. Eighty million are in the U.S.
A Few Stats: Facebook remains the most popular social media site – 72% of online adults are Facebook users, amounting to 62% of all American adults. Growth on the site has largely plateaued. Those on Facebook remain highly engaged with 70% saying they log on daily, including 43% who do so several times a day.
Instagram continues to prove its mastery of the mobile (Smartphone/Android) domain, according to eMarketer’s latest internet usage forecast. This year, 89.4 million Americans (51.8% of social network users) will log on to Instagram at least once a month, representing 34.1% of mobile phone users. Instagram’s user base is growing far faster than social network usage in general. Over the next four years, it will add 26.9 million users, almost double the incremental users expected for Twitter and far more than any other social platform.
While INSTAGRAM is most popular with teens and young Millennials, 50% of its users are over 30 years old.
As a division manager with NROTC you should be using INSTAGRAM as a Recruiting Tool!
INSTAGRAM is simple and easy once installed on your desktop pc!… It’s installing it on your desktop that is a little tricky because INSTAGRAM IS A MOBILE/ANDROID AP!… And from what I can tell, INSTAGRAM does not offer a desktop/pc install!
FIRST YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR DESKTOP PC THINK IT IS A SMARTPHONE!
Don’t panic. Just install a program called BlueStacks. The BlueStacks App Player is designed to enable Android applications to run on Windows PCs and Macintosh computers. After Bluestacks is installed, installing INSTAGRAM on your PC is easy.
Install the INSTAGRAM AP FROM BLUESTACKS.
Once you have INSTAGRAM installed. In order to login again, you will need to open BLUESTACKS first, you might need to click “ANDROID”, then click INSTAGRAM.

As mentioned before, help people find your content by hashtagging your FACEBOOK posts. The # symbol in front of keywords identifies your posts to people searching for related information. For instance, the use of #jobs, #hiring, #work #SalesJobs #OutsideSales #VeteranJobs #JobPostings #EmploymentOpportunities or whatever you like will attract job seekers and expand the reach of your posts. When hashtagging phrases, always capitalize each word in the phrase.
Hashtag Hint: Because you are looking for people who reside within your division, I recommend that you use more specific hashtags such as #Jobs(YourState) #Jobs(YourCity) #(YourState)SalesJobs #(YourCity)SalesJobs #Employment(YourState) #Employment(YourCity) etc.
My posting images are the same that I use on all social media advertising. They can be found again HERE
Important Note: ROTATE your ads, adding at least one, perhaps a few of your oldest postings, as new postings regularly if not daily.
There are other social media sites, employment sites, job boards, local newspapers and such where you can be posting ads and reviewing resumes. Here is a good one for recruiting Table Reps: GetEventJobs.com (Create A NROTC Division Account – Run unlimited free job postings) We leave the advertising up to you as long as you are not making false income claims, spamming on the internet or sending unsolicited commercial email or email spam.
Here is another recruiting tool: – We make these flyers available to our Division Managers. While you are out in the field fundraising or training, have a quantity of these in your sales kit and as you are calling on businesses ask if they might be will post our flyer.
