Honoring Their Sacrifice... NOW!

Dear Fellow American,

As the war on terrorism rages on, it is only because of our nation’s bravest and finest men and women that stand ready to risk life and limb to protect our country and our way of life, that we remain out of harm's way. Please remember that for every brave trooper serving, there are family members back home "serving" and sacrificing, with them.

The NROTC mission is to recognize our U.S. military service members, AND their families, for the sacrifices they make, and to let them know they are not forgotten, by providing them with free Blue Star or Gold Star Service Banners.

While not widely known, a Service Banner displayed in the window of a home is a long-standing tradition in America dating back to World War I. The Blue Star Service Banner signifies that someone in the home is serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. If a trooper dies while serving, the blue star goes gold. We invite you to learn more about these service banners here on our website.

NROTC also provides aid to our wounded warriors returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and other wounded veterans.

All of these wounded are in pretty bad shape. They are amputees, burn and gunshot victims and those who have suffered serious brain trauma due to roadside bombs. We pick them up from their homes and military hospitals, in one of NROTC's Wounded Warrior Wagons and shuttle them to sporting events and places such as restaurants, golf courses, bowling alleys, movie theaters, VFW and American Legion Posts to show them a good time. Patrons at these events and places get a chance to honor them and thank them for their service and sacrifice… and let them know they are appreciated. This show of support by others as we get them out to mix with the public, many for the first time after sustaining their injuries in battle, helps them, in their recovery AND… on an ongoing basis after they have returned home!

It is because of the generous contributions of caring Americans like you that NROTC is able to honor and support our brave men and women in uniform and their families.

When it comes to asking for money for our troops and their families... we can never ask for too much!... but we leave the amount up to you.

Please help NROTC in honoring the sacrifices of those who are giving for their country... NOW!... Make your tax-deductible donation today.

With my sincere gratitude,
