While people are signing their cards for you, NROTC would appreciate if you ask them for a donation of any amount to support our mission. You can enclose any donations you receive when you are mailing your signed cards back to NROTC. This is left entirely up to you but we hope you will!
ANY DONATIONS YOU COLLECT HELP TO SUPPORT…
NROTC’s EMERGENCY FINANCIAL AID & ASSISTANCE PROGRAM is our attempt to help those veterans who have honorably served, and through no fault of their own, have fallen upon hard times. Government money is limited and services are often at capacity. Many veterans fall through the cracks. Often, NROTC is able to help a veteran in need, WITH AN EMERGENCY CHECK… to make a delinquent rent or mortgage payment, a utility payment or a car loan payment to get someone back and forth to work etc.
Unlike most if not all government agencies, NROTC is often able to make these payments quickly without red-tape… after a simple application and investigative process.
Note: At this time, volunteers can only solicit donations in the following states:
CO, DE, FL, IA, ID, IN, MD, MT, NE, NJ, NV, OK, SD, TX, VT, and WY
If you do NOT live in one of the states above, you can still gather signed cards for our troops and veterans AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT ASK FOR DONATIONS! We are expecting to add many new states to this list very shortly.

WHY IS FUNDRAISING IMPORTANT?
Donations are the life’s blood of many charities including NROTC. According to The National Council of Nonprofits, “Most charitable nonprofits rely upon the generosity of donors for some or all of their funding. Consequently, fundraising is an activity of major importance to the nonprofit sector.”
According to The Institute for Human Services, “All nonprofits rely on volunteers to accomplish the work they do.
According to The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), about 154,000 Veterans are homeless on a typical night in America. Over the course of a year, approximately twice that many experience homelessness.
According to The National Coalition For Homeless Veterans, the most effective programs for homeless and at-risk veterans are nonprofit groups.
Government money, while important, is limited, and available services are often at capacity. It is critical, therefore, that nonprofit groups reach out to help provide the support, resources and opportunities that most Americans take for granted.
NROTC IS COLLABORATING WITH THE VA and other government agencies, to reach out and help, to the best of our ability, ANY VETERAN, MILITARY OR VETERAN FAMILY IN NEED!
NROTC believes that no veteran or military family, especially a military family with young children involved, should ever find themselves living on the streets due to lack of transportation, meaningful employment or government assistance.
