Attention Dealerships, Brokers and Salespeople

commission-paid-details

ATTENTION DEALERS – BROKERS AND SALESPEOPLE – You don’t always lose your commission on donations.

Example #1 – If a customer/client donates a boat, a yacht, a car, truck, RV, commercial equipment, property etc., and you as a salesperson/broker sell it for us, you are still entitled to your standard sales commission! The donor is entitled to the full tax benefit allowed by law.

Example #2 – If you personally donate a boat, a yacht, a car, truck, RV, commercial equipment, property etc., and you sell it for us, you are still entitled to your standard sales commission! Your tax benefit would be based on the selling price less your commission. Check with your tax professional to be certain.

Example #3 – If you are a salesperson/broker for a dealership that donates a boat, a yacht, a car, truck, RV, commercial equipment, property etc., and you sell it for us, you, with your dealership’s approval, are still entitled to your standard sales commission! The dealership tax benefit would be based on the selling price less your commission. Check with your tax professional to be certain.

Example #4 – If you, a customer/client or dealership donates a boat, a yacht, a car, truck, RV, commercial equipment, property etc., and we, or one of our agents sell it, or, if we use the donation in the furtherance of our charitable purpose, there is no commission paid. The donor is entitled to the full tax benefit allowed by law.
