The National Remember Our Troops Campaign is a 501(c)(3) military and veterans charity dedicated to remembering the service and sacrifice of all military servicemembers, all veterans and their families, supporting those in need and letting them know they are not forgotten.
While hiring veterans is part of our mission, being a military veteran is NOT required. This job can be a great for veterans, guard, reservists, military spouses or anyone who wants be involved in helping homeless and financially distressed veterans.
Your job will be to set up and host “CARD SIGNING DONATION TABLES” in front of Walmarts and grocery stores and such. We also setup at Gun & Knife Shows, Hunting, Fishing & Outdoor Expos as well as various other community events. Anywhere there are people!
You will need to get your own portable collapsible donation table if you don’t have one.
NROTC will coach you on how to schedule table setups from the comfort of your home… Its easy!… If we have an Event Coordinator assigned to your area you will be required to work at their direction. They will schedule table setup events for you.
From behind your table, you will be asking passers-by to sign “Thank You For Your Service” cards that we forward to deployed troops and “Get Well Soon” cards that we send to hospitalized veterans. Most of these people are willing to drop some spare change or a dollar or two… or more… in your donation container!
*While most events are on weekends, grocery stores are great because they can keep you busy working on weekdays!
One guy is signing a card while the other guy fishes through his wallet for a donation.
Donations are the life’s blood of any charity and donations for the most part, do not magically drop out of the sky or arrive unsolicited. As part of our national fundraising team, you’ll be helping us accomplish our mission.
NROTC provides for expense reimbursement for certain expenses such as mileage at 25 cents per mile to and from your home, road tolls, initial table supplies, additional table supplies, any table setup or registration fees that may be charged by any event promoter and gratuity items purchased from NROTC or any other vendor.
Any and all reimbursements are limited to 25% of the amount in your donation container and receipts are required. Issuing a check in advance to a table representative or issuing a check back as reimbursement for expenses paid is not NROTC policy.
To encourage you to actively seek donations, NROTC pays a very generous 30% commission
* It is NOT uncommon for nonprofits to pay commissions to fundraisers.
Earnings are commensurate with your efforts. Location and foot-traffic DOES make a difference. This can be a great way to earn money while helping us accomplish our mission.
Setting-up at Gun & Knife Shows, Hunting, Fishing & Outdoor Expos, community festivals, ethnic festivals, boat shows, craft shows, car shows, biker events, concerts, conventions, sporting events… (this list just goes on and on)… is going to put you in front of more people than you will meet standing in front of a grocery store all day, not that a grocery store is all that bad. You can earn $100 per day at a grocery store on a good day. (See below)

Like To Travel?
We are excited about one fellow who is traveling the NASCAR circuit this summer hosting a Card Signing Table at every race. Being that we are a charity, many if not most major hotel and motel chains have a standard procedure of providing AT NO COST (Or providing at extreme discount)… (Comped)… rooms to traveling nonprofit fundraisers who are in their town for a night or two, to show up at conventions, trade shows, hobby and sporting events etc. Many of the major chains REQUIRE each location to provide a certain number of “comped” hours to nonprofits each year. Getting rooms “comped” anywhere in the USA is usually as easy as a phone call.
RV’ers also can be granted “comped” temporary RV Campground stays.
*You MUST have your own reliable transportation
*You MUST have a valid drivers license in the state where you live
*You MUST have internet, a printer and email at home
*You MUST have a working cell phone with you at all times when doing any table setup
For those of you who would prefer to have a MEANINGFUL… rather than menial job, this is it!
