Dear NROTC News Subscriber,
This is our very first newsletter and it is going out to twelve personally enrolled subscribers and about twelve corporate officers,
trustees and employees.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to what will be a monthly newsletter from NROTC with its primary purpose being to document our
charitable activity to our readership as well as other public organizational activity.
There are twelve of you out there who may not be aware that NROTC has been granted our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Contributions
received from individuals, foundations, and corporations are now tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
We held our first Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, December 13th 2005, where I personally passed on the stewardship of NROTC
into their trusty hands. I now work at their direction.
Legally, we could not ask for a donation from anyone until November 22, 2005, the date which we were issued our 501(c)(3). From that
date to present, we have received a total of $1,300.00 in donations. A special thank you goes out to Grantham University in
Arlington, Virginia for their sizable contribution.
There have been 20 service banner requests so far this month. Thirteen of which were for single star blue star service banners. There
were also three, two star blue star service banner requests and four gold star service banner requests. These banners were all recently
mailed out.

Well I guess that just about does it. I know it is not a great deal of activity to report but at least it is a start.

Special Note: On June 2nd, 2006 NROTC decided that in order to further protect all of our service banner donees from anyone,
including domestic terrorists who may want to do them harm, that we will no longer publish their actual street number. We have gone
back into our five previous "The NROTC News" newsletters including this issue and deleted the street numbers. Due to the fact that
we are at war and not everyone supports our troops, we believe we have made the right decision
