I apologize that this newsletter is a little late being published. September was not a very good month for NROTC. In fact, 2006 has not been very kind to us so far. Our "Work At Home" Telemarketer hiring campaign that we have been involved with since January 2006 has resulted in 130 people being hired but not one of them is still with us. Most did not last a week and I believe that most of them made less than 10 phone calls if any. Our grand total donations so far this year is 28 donations for $2,475.00 which is about $5,000.00 less than the cost of putting out the 280 service banners we have put out year to date.

On September 21st, I was back in the hospital getting another stent put in my heart for a total of eight stents now. When I came home from the hospital this time, there were 76 service banner requests in my email inbox and a zero balance in our business checking. At this point, knowing that stress is not good for someone with a heart condition, I made an executive decision a shut down the NROTC website. I took a couple weeks off.

Today we now have 76 people on a waiting list to receive their service banners. I have emailed all of them informing them of our action. A few have emailed back saying that they understand and wish us success in gathering the much needed donations.

I publish this newsletter today with my announcement that NROTC is back live on the internet only with one major change. On both our Blue Star and Gold Star Service Banner request pages, there is a statement saying: "We are sorry to announce that we are unable to accept Service Banner applications at this time. Our requests have surpassed our financial resources. We are currently seeking the donation dollars to once again provide this free service. Please check back with us from time to time."

Today I also report that we are in early negotiations with professional fundraising firm which may be the solution to our financial woes. I truly hope we have better news to report to you over the next few newsletters.

On another subject, I have started a new business venture in the field of healthcare and wellness. I am now also an independent consultant with a multi billion dollar Japanese company named Nikken, pronounced "Knee-Ken", like Nissan. Consider partnering with me on this if you want to make big bucks part time while helping people feel better and live longer. Here is the link: http://besthealthcarecareer.com/

Thank you for reading.

That is all,

Tom Ruley, President, NROTC
