WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET YOUR COMMUNITY INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT!!!

Last year, 62.6 million Americans volunteered for nearly 7.7 billion hours, according to the Corporation for National & Community Service’s Volunteering & Civic Life in America Report.

HOW WE HELP THOSE IN NEED:

NROTC works to provide emergency referral and assistance to those who have served honorably, who have met with hard times.

WHY IS FUNDRAISING IMPORTANT?

Donations are the life’s blood of many charities including NROTC. According to The National Council of Nonprofits, “Most charitable nonprofits rely upon the generosity of donors for some or all of their funding. Consequently, fundraising is an activity of major importance to the nonprofit sector.”

According to The Institute for Human Services, “All nonprofits rely on volunteers to accomplish the work they do.

According to The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), about 154,000 Veterans are homeless on a typical night in America. Over the course of a year, approximately twice that many experience homelessness.

According to The National Coalition For Homeless Veterans, the most effective programs for homeless and at-risk veterans are nonprofit groups.

Government money, while important, is limited, and available services are often at capacity. Many veterans fall through the cracks! It is critical, therefore, that nonprofit groups reach out to help provide the support, resources and opportunities that most Americans take for granted.

NROTC IS COLLABORATING WITH THE VA and other government agencies, to reach out and help, to the best of our ability, ANY VETERAN, MILITARY OR VETERAN FAMILY IN NEED!

In many cases, NROTC is able to help, BY PROVIDING AN EMERGENCY CHECK… to make a delinquent rent or mortgage payment, a utility payment or a car loan payment to get them back and forth to work etc.

Unlike most if not all government agencies, NROTC is often able to make these payments quickly without red-tape… after a simple application and investigative process.

NROTC believes that no veteran or military family, especially a military family with young children involved, should ever find themselves living on the streets due to lack of transportation, meaningful employment or government assistance.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE AUTHORIZED BY NROTC BEFORE DOING ANY CARD-SIGNING TABLE SETUPS!

NROTC requires that all volunteers have a thorough understanding of everything we do. After submitting your Workplace Volunteer Application and Agreement below, we want you to spend additional time here on our website studying. We need you to have a good understanding of NROTC because people at your Card Signing Table are going to be asking questions. You will need to be an “Authority & Advocate” for NROTC and be able to provide people with accurate answers and information. One of NROTC’s Volunteer Coordinators will also be providing you with ONE-ON-ONE guidance and instruction. This will not be too difficult if you give it an honest effort. Hosting your Card Signing Table is actually fun!
